ALS Restaurant #2

We enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner with my daughter, Stephanie and her family (4 scooters,  thanks Steph).  But life goes on, and the next day we were all hungry again.  Here is what happened at Lincoln Square Pancake House. LINCOLN SQUARE PANCAKE HOUSE It’s always this way.  You think that you will never eat again after Thanksgiving.  Yet, the next morning you awaken hungry.  And so, my wife, two daughters, four grandchildren and I were off to Lincoln Square Pancake House, 2330 N. Meridian Street. We arrived at 9:30 A.M.  Even though all the handicapped spaces were taken, there was still plenty of room in the very large parking lot.  There was easy access to the front door, and the hostess, who saw us coming, opened the door to allow my entrance.  I had heard that there would be a long wait time before we could be seated, but that did not prove to be the case.  There were plenty of open tables and our party of eight was seated immedi...

ALS Restaurant Review #1

For me, one of life’s pleasures is going out to eat.  My wife and I have loved trying new foods and new venues here in Indianapolis.  We also have fun whittling down the list to a few that we return to time and again. Like you, changes in my body have sharply limited what I can do—but have not curtailed my enjoyment of restaurants.  Those changes have, however,  altered what I deem important in restaurant dining.    Great food and good prices, but poor access?  Off my list. If I can get in, get seated comfortably, and easily use the bathroom-- HUGE POINTS.  Even if the place specializes in Brussel Sprouts. I do not like Brussel Sprouts. So, from time to time I will post reviews.  I will mention food, prices, and service, but will focus on access.  After all, dining out should be comfortable and without stress. My rating system will be based on my scooter (thank you Mitch). 4 scooters:  Great!  Do not miss this. ...
