ALS Restaurant #2

We enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner with my daughter, Stephanie and her family (4 scooters,  thanks Steph).  But life goes on, and the next day we were all hungry again.  Here is what happened at Lincoln Square Pancake House.
LINCOLN SQUARE PANCAKE HOUSE
It’s always this way.  You think that you will never eat again after Thanksgiving.  Yet, the next morning you awaken hungry.  And so, my wife, two daughters, four grandchildren and I were off to Lincoln Square Pancake House, 2330 N. Meridian Street.
We arrived at 9:30 A.M.  Even though all the handicapped spaces were taken, there was still plenty of room in the very large parking lot.  There was easy access to the front door, and the hostess, who saw us coming, opened the door to allow my entrance.  I had heard that there would be a long wait time before we could be seated, but that did not prove to be the case.  There were plenty of open tables and our party of eight was seated immediately.  This is a large restaurant and the space between the tables makes for easy access for me and my scooter.  Transfer from my scooter to a chair was simple. Then, scooting the chair up to the table was an easy task.
The menu has a wide selection of breakfast and lunch items.  My group opted for breakfast, which ranged from children’s pancakes to waffles and fried chicken.  The service was efficient and friendly, and our server showed great patience when dealing with our four year old grandchild.  All at our table were pleased with their selections.  The prices were modest, but breakfast food is never wildly expensive.
I may never get my wish for an automatic door opener on the bathroom, but access at Lincoln Square was pretty easy.  Remember I reported that the bathroom door at MCL was very heavy and difficult to open even using my scooter to push?  Well, the men’s room door at Lincoln Square was light and opened easily for both access and exit from the facility.  The bathroom itself was large, clean, and easily maneuverable.
Conclusion:  Access to Lincoln Square was easy.  The staff is friendly, efficient and made me                                       (and the grandchildren) feel very comfortable and welcome.  I liked the food, as did the others in my group.  The prices are reasonable.  Access to the bathroom was good, and the bathroom itself was spacious and easy for me to use and then exit.
3 ½ scooters (still searching for the automatic door opener)
